Tools to bring traders in, built into the same system
Discount codes, add-ons, affiliates and trading competitions run on the same accounts, the same checkout and the same audit log as everything else. Staff set them up in the back office.
Discount codes
Entered by the trader at checkout.
- What a code does
A code takes a percentage or an amount off. A code worth the whole order opens the challenge at once, without a payment.
- Limits
Staff can limit a code by challenge, by opening and end time, by total uses and by uses per client.
- Fair counting
A use counts once the order is being paid, so two payments can't both take the last use. A failed or expired order frees its use again.
- Withdrawing a code
Staff can withdraw a code at any time. An order placed with it then can't be paid.
Add-ons
Optional extras at checkout.
- What an add-on changes
Each add-on changes one setting of the challenge it's bought with: the profit split on the funded account, the days to the first payout, the days between payouts, or no trading period on the evaluation phases.
- Its price
A share of the account size's price, plus a fixed amount if the firm wants one.
- What the trader sees
Before paying: the challenge, each add-on, the code's discount and the total. The server prices every line.
- Nothing changes after a sale
An order keeps a copy of what it bought. Changing a code or an add-on later never changes accounts already sold, just as with challenge versions.
Affiliates
Referral links and commissions, paid with the same two-person rule as trader payouts.
- Who is an affiliate
Staff make a client an affiliate and set their referral code, their commission as a share of what each referred client pays, whether it covers the client's first challenge only or every challenge, and how many days a commission is held before it can be paid out.
- The referral link
Each affiliate gets a link, and visits are counted. A client who signs up from it belongs to that affiliate, set once at sign-up; the browser remembers the link for 30 days. Nobody can refer themselves.
- Affiliate codes
A discount code can belong to an affiliate. Orders paid with it earn that affiliate commission, unless another affiliate brought the client in.
- Refunds
A refund takes back an unpaid commission.
- The affiliate's page
In the client area: their link, visits, sign-ups and clients who bought, commission held, ready and paid, and their payouts. It doesn't show who their clients are.
- Affiliate payouts
The affiliate asks for a payout from their page. One staff member approves it, and a different one records the payment.
Trading competitions
Free to enter, on the same engine and rules as the challenges.
- Setting one up
Staff set the start and end times, the account size and leverage, the loss limits, an optional limit on entrants, and prizes by place, and choose whether traders can see it. Once it starts, its times, size, rules and entrant limit are fixed for everyone.
- Joining
Clients join from the client area under a leaderboard name; an email address isn't allowed as one. Every entrant gets an account of the same size and rules, which appears in the web trader next to their other accounts.
- The leaderboard
Live in the client area for signed-in clients, ranked by gain, including open positions. Entrants see leaderboard names only.
- Fair play
Breaking a loss limit takes an entrant out. Staff can disqualify an entrant, with a reason, and they see who each entrant is.
- At the end
Open positions close at market, and the final standings are kept. Staff deliver the prizes, and the platform records them.
